What do I need to know?

Eligibility and testing requirements.

The advantages of competing in college sports are both immediate and lifelong. Participating in college sports provides opportunities to learn, compete and succeed. Student-athletes receive top-notch academic support, quality medical care and regular access to outstanding coaching, facilities and equipment. Student-athletes as a group graduate at higher rates than their peers in the general student body and feel better prepared for life after college.

Once the NCAA Eligibility Center completes your academic and amateur certifications, you will receive an academic status for Division I, an academic status for Division II and an amateur status for each sport you selected.  LEARN MORE ABOUT ELIGIBILITY

There are different requirements for each NCAA level, as well as for NJCAA and NAIA, so please make sure you review each section to find out what might be the best fit for you.

You'll also need to take a college entrance exam.  Please check on the requirements at the school you are interested in.  Review the ACT and SAT information by clicking the images above.

Lady Irish Mission

NWO Lady Irish was founded in 1989 with a primary mission of assisting our athletes in achieving their college softball dreams. Through coaching and training, we develop our athlete's skills with our year-around training program.  We then showcase our athletes appropriately during the summer season at competitive tournaments for the proper skill levels.

Our annual College Night is open to Lady Irish players as well as student-athletes from other organizations.  College night is an amazing opportunity for student-athletes to interact with college coaches and learn about the college recruiting process as well as the expectations for athletes playing in college.
