Join us for our 30th year! That’s right, the NWO Lady Irish was founded in 1989 and played it’s first complete season during the 2019-2020 season! Join us as we continue to offer quality softball opportunities in Northwest Ohio.
What do you need for our tryouts? Come with your bat, helmet, and a glove. Also, bring a great attitude and a ton of hustle. Our coaches will evaluate your skills as well as your effort, coach ability, hustle, and attitude. So don’t stress about tryouts, nobody is perfect and we expect errors. But maintaining a great attitude and giving complete effort is a quality a coach is looking for in all players selected!
Mission statement – The Northwest Ohio Lady Irish is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of female athletes, ages 8-23, to help them achieve their fast pitch softball dreams. We provide softball opportunities for young ladies of all skill levels. While providing the opportunity, we conduct quality training to adequately prepare our athletes to play against the best competition, showcasing their talents to college coaches when appropriate. Further, we educate our players and families on the college recruiting process while helping them along the way in their personal recruiting efforts. A Lady Irish player who remains dedicated, excels in the training, and embraces the education provided, will eventually achieve her dream to play softball at the college level.
Quality Indoor Practice Facilities: Our indoor practices start in November and run through the end of March (mid February for high school age softball players). We practice indoors at the dome on the weekends and during the week at Yankee Road Sports. Your individual team practice schedule will be set by your coach prior to the indoor season starting.
Our Tryouts are scheduled for:
July 22 = 8U / 10U
July 23 = 12U
July 24 = 14U
July 25 = 16U / 18U
Tryouts will start at 6:00PM each night.
Onsite check-in will start at 5:30.
Aug 10 - All Ages
Tryouts will start at 10:00AM.
Onsite Check-in will start at 9:30.
You DO NOT have to register online, although it greatly speeds up the processes prior to tryouts. Your online registration also helps us with an effective evaluation process.
